This is a fairly simple thing to do. Just add an “accesskey” attribute to the links or whatever field and hitting the access key combo would be the same as clicking it. It’s an HTML/XHTML feature so there’s no JavaScript to mess around with.

For accessibility purposes, this would definitely be nice! With the new profile page, a lot of things don’t work with my screen reader, (and firefox,) so I have to use IE, and I’m pretty much out of luck when it comes to custimizing!
It would be great if there were keyboard shortcuts for the “Preview” and “Save” buttons of the entry entering page.
